Purim. That awesome day of pumping music, Mishloach Manos, drunk bachurim everywhere, sugar-high adorably dressed up toddlers and kids, and your mother somehow keeping on top of it all…
And you? You’re at that in-between stage. Maybe you’re feeling too old to join the kiddos (or not 😉), you (hopefully) don’t see the major excitement in all that sugar anymore, and you might not be getting dressed up anymore. Is Purim slowly losing its excitement?
Well, we asked YOU, our amazing teen community, how you keep the Purim magic alive, and wow – your responses blew us away! Let’s share some of this incredible inspo…
Level Up Your Mishloach Manos Game
Okay, so you’re not going crazy over getting candy anymore – but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with Mishloach Manos! The creative ideas you shared are seriously next-level. Some of you are going all out with color schemes (from super elegant single colors to full-on rainbow vibes!), while others are getting clever with themes based on family names (we’ve all seen those, right? 😉).
And some like the shock effect 🤣.

But here’s what’s really cool – one teen totally upped her game by using her new graphics skills to design custom labels, and get this – she’s even turning it into a business! And can we talk about those signature treats some of you are becoming famous for? You know, the ones everyone’s families wait for all year long!
Make Your Home Purim Central
Who needs to go searching for the action when you can make your house THE. Place. To. Be. How about something that will make everyone walking past your front porch do a double take and obvs, a treat table that has everyone “just stopping by.” like this teen:
Something I do to make Purim a special day for me and my family is to decorate the house. We go all out with balloon arches on the front porch and streamers all over. One year we even got a cotton candy machine and we were the place to be in the neighborhood. -B.R
And let’s not forget the seudah – when your dining room transforms into party central with amazing food and even better company.
Getting Into the Spirit(ual)
Here’s something not every teen might realize – Purim isn’t just about the party vibes! So many of you are tapping into the deeper meaning of the day in beautiful ways. As heard from this teen:
Even the seudah becomes more meaningful – it’s not just about the food, but about making sure everyone feels included and cared for.
And here’s a thought that really touched us: why not make a special Mishloach Manos for that girl in your class who might not get so many? Because let’s be real – true simcha comes from giving to others!
Fresh Takes on Traditions
No costume? No problem! Some of you are going for a fun T-shirt or cute headgear vibe now. Or maybe your thing is teaming up with friends to create and deliver your awesome Mishloach Manos like this teen:
Some of you are setting personal goals like finishing Tehillim, while others are just here for the entertainment of watching the drunk men (we get it! 😂).
And let’s not forget the ways you can get into the pre-purim spirit like this family…
The point is, there are literally endless ways to make the day special…
Your Turn!
So… how are YOU planning to make this Purim amazing? Whether you’re going all creative with Mishloach Manos, turning your house into the neighborhood hot spot, or focusing on the spiritual power of the day – there’s no wrong way to do Purim! Remember: Just because you’re not five anymore doesn’t mean Purim can’t be one of the best days of the year. Make it yours! ðŸŽâœ¨
